2018 Awards Workshop

Awards Workshop, Tuesday 14 November at 3pm – 5pm

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Aberdeen Treetops, Aberdeen

The North East Scotland Food & Drink Awards are delivered by Opportunity North East (ONE) in partnership with Aberdeenshire Council. The Awards celebrate innovation and excellence while rewarding success in the food and drink sector.  Free to enter, they are open to food and drink producers based in the north east.

The North East Scotland Food & Drink Awards are part of a wider programme of exciting new activities that will be delivered by ONE for the sector. This includes a new business growth programme, a food tourism project, networking events as well as support for businesses to explore how new market opportunities and innovation can help drive the growth of their business.

Join us on Tuesday 14 November to find out more about making the most of entering food and drink awards.

Elizabeth Mathie, ONE Food Drink & Agriculture Project Manager, will welcome delegates and introduce the 2018 Awards and run through the categories, benefits and process for entering and answer any questions you may have about the Awards.

Louise Shankley, CSR and Engagement Executive at Macphie will talk through why they enter Awards and the approach they take. She will explain how to build it into your strategy and get buy-in from management, how they choose and tell the story, and how with some planning you can make the most impact from the experience, with a positive tale to tell both within the company and to the outside world.

Rebecca Harvey from Taste Communications will give you some useful tools and ideas for making the most of the Awards publicity, PR and social media to help raise awareness of your own business.

We are delighted to welcome back Eddie Philips, Food and Drink Photographer who will run a taster session on creating great food and drink photography in-house, even with just the use of an iphone and some basic lighting. He will focus on products in packaging.
